Introduction
From the streets of Shibuya to the sands of Zanzibar, I have seen many gorgeous, mesmerizing and beautiful things during my travels over the last few years.
Throughout it all, some things have stuck with me more than others. It wasn’t the monuments, castles or temples. It wasn’t the fancy restaurants. It wasn’t the sightseeing. It wasn’t the museums or galleries. And, it wasn’t the tours.
It was the pockets.
The delicate, intricate spaces, that foster a certain feeling you can’t quite describe or completely understand. The spaces that catch you off guard. The spaces you try to tell your friends about but can never quite do them justice. The spaces that make you realise what it’s all about.
Over time I came to realise that, in the same way, people can be pockets too, and it was often the people that made a space what it was.
For me, travelling became all about finding these pockets. This is the story of my pockets.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the journey so far.
I hope you can find some pockets of your own.
